What is an ignition interlock device (IID)?

An ignition interlock device is a breathalyzer installed in your vehicle that measures the level of alcohol in your breath. Connected directly to your vehicle’s ignition system, you are required to blow into the attached mouthpiece to test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC). If your alcohol concentration exceeds a specified legal level, the interlock device temporarily prevents your vehicle from starting.

It's Fast

We offer one of the fastest devices on the market so you can spend more time driving and less time interacting with the device. While other devices can take up to three minutes, our devices operate in extreme temperatures, so once your seat belt is fastened you’re ready to go!

It's Easy

While most devices require humming, delays, and altered breathing techniques, we have a simple blow and suck device. Once your car is turned on, you just blow in, quickly suck back, and then you are on the road in 10 seconds.

Our interlock devices guide you with step-by-step messaging on how to provide a correct breath sample. It will also give you advance notice of your next service appointment.

It's Discreet

Your lifestyle shouldn’t change because of this new requirement. Our devices are compact and easily hidden, so your personal business remains personal. We can even install the interlock on any type of motor vehicle, including motorcycles.

The Interlock 7000

The Interlock 7000 features a rear mounted mouthpiece and sleek design, making the device less noticeable. The Interlock 7000 can easily differentiate between breath alcohol and mouth alcohol (such as mouthwash), so say goodbye to unnecessary lockouts! Also, the Draeger Interlock 7000’s intelligent camera can detect a change in driver making it the most accurate interlock device on the market.

The Draeger Interlock® 7000 and Draeger Interlock® XT offer advanced technologies to deliver accurate results, fast.
